Huddles allow church members to voluntarily assemble in temporary groups based on their passions, skills, and sense of calling to address particular ministry needs in the church and broader community. They provide a way for ministry to happen organically when urgency, problem-solving, or a clear purpose arises, rather than waiting for an official ministry team to form. They are more informal and short-term compared to the ongoing ministry teams. Once a project or event is done, that huddle may disband. Huddles allow flexibility for the church to respond to needs and ideas as they emerge, while ministry teams provide stability in continuing areas of ministry. Our church encourages huddles as a way to increase participation and ownership in our ministries.
